Arbo Chile

Chile de Arbol – “tree chili”.  They are named for reference to the woody stems attached to the pod.  They are about 2-3” long.  The peppers are a bright red when mature.  They can be found fresh, dried, or powdered.  They can be substituted for cayenne pepper in cooking.  The seeds can be removed to tone down its hotness.
