A root vegetable related to the carrot. They resemble carrots, but are paler in color than most carrots, and have a sweeter taste, especially when cooked.
Handling and Storage
Store in a cool, humid environment (32 degrees Fahrenheit). They can be stored in a plastic bag in the refrigerator. If the green tops are still attached they should be removed before storing or they will draw moisture from the roots. Wash before preparing.
