Handling and Storage  
Wrap unwashed broccoli in plastic wrap or place in a plastic bag and store in the vegetable crisper section of the refrigerator.  It should keep that way for five-seven days.
 
Varieties  
Calabrese – large green heads and thick stalks; Sprouting – has a larger number of heads with many thin stalks; Purple Cauliflower – Purple tinged flowers.
