A variety of Mandarin Orange.  The exterior is a deep orange color with a smooth, glossy appearance.  Clementines can be peeled and easily separated into 7-14 segments.  Typically very juicy and sweet, with less acid than oranges.

Growing Area 
Clementines are imported from Spain during the winter months.  They are also grown in Florida and California.
Handling and Storage
They should have good color and a good smell.  Avoid “puffy” looking Clementines.  Keep them in the refrigerator for one to two weeks.
Late fall – winter.
